We Stand With You: Our Commitment to Black Lives Matter and to Our Community

I know this message is a bit unusual, but the unusual and unprecedented events of the last few weeks require an “unusual” communication.

The murder of George Floyd in Minnesota has shaken us all, and the response in both the United States and around the world has forced us to reexamine our personal feelings on racism and civil rights.

Hopefully, we have paused to think about our beliefs, our values, our actions, and maybe even more importantly, in some cases, our lack of action.

It has made me think hard and worry about many of the mothers on the WFC team who quietly live with an unimaginable, persistent real fear for the lives of their sons and partners who are at risk solely because they are Black.

It has reminded me that the foundation of the home care industry is built on delivering quality care with respect, dignity, and compassion.

At WFC, we value the diversity of our caregivers, nurses, and office professionals as well as all of the clients who are equally entitled to be treated in a respectful, dignified, and compassionate manner.

We are about people taking care of people.

We are a diverse group of people taking care of others, regardless of race, religion, or gender.

Respect, compassion, and inclusivity are encompassed in our values.

We will continue to treat people with dignity and respect.

We will continue to value one another.

We can and will do more.

Please stay healthy and stay safe.
