Live-in Care

Live-in senior care is a 24-hour service to keep older loved ones safe and happy in their residence. Caregivers assist with care, such as bathing, grooming, and activities of daily living.

Live-In Senior Care FAQ

What are your available hours?

  • Live-in care services are available 24/7 and are tailored to your schedule.

How do you provide live-in care services?

  • We provide a team-based approach to live-in care. Generally, each live-in patient has two caregivers assisting throughout the week. Care is provided in shifts that meet your loved one’s needs throughout the week, and this transition between caregivers provides consistent, one-on-one care.

Do Caregivers Stay in the Client’s Home Overnight?

  • Yes, live-in care means that a caregiver is present in the home 24/7. The caregiver stays in the client’s home at night to sleep. While the caregiver is not awake throughout the evening, they are available to assist if help is needed.
  • If your loved one needs more support at night, we can provide overnight care in shifts for an additional fee. In this arrangement, two caregivers work in shifts to provide care throughout the day and night and do not sleep in the residence.

Do you provide assistance with medications?

  • Our team can assist with medication. In general, caregivers can provide reminders for pre-dispensed medications. Our nursing team can provide medication management if necessary as an additional service.

Who requires live-in care?

Live-in senior care can be a great benefit to older adults who:

  • Need care throughout the night
  • Are recovering from an illness or injury
  • Have limited mobility
  • Live far away from family and friends
  • Feel overwhelmed with taking care of themselves
  • Have memory-related illnesses
  • Are in hospice

Can caregivers provide transportation?

  • Yes. Transportation is included with live-in care services. Certified caregivers can provide transportation using their car, the client’s car, or arrange for Uber or other services.
