Meet Samuel Appiah Kubi, a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) at Westchester Family Care Inc. (WFC). Samuel has been with us since July 2020, providing compassionate care to our clients. He brings eleven years of experience in-home care to our clients at WFC. We couldn’t be happier to have him on our staff!

What is it about home care that keeps Samuel coming back for more?

“It is passion. My passion for caring for elderly people came from taking care of my father. He could not take care of himself because he was old and frail.

Samuel spent two years caring for his father in his native Africa. He saw how hard it is for the elderly, and other people who cannot take care of themselves, to get the care they need when they don’t have a health system that provides the necessary care.

Samuel feels passionate about the care he gives at WFC. When asked what drew him to work at WFC, he says he was “drawn to every aspect of being a Home Health Aide at WFC. The company makes it possible for him to provide the level of care he knows people at home need. This means a lot to him because he feels attached to his clients like family and doesn’t stop to go the extra mile to help them.

Even at 4 AM!

Like the time he received a panicked call at four in the morning from a client and quickly determined his client urgently needed help and made the call to 911 for him. Samuel didn’t hesitate to help his client and follow up to make sure everything was okay.

He feels rewarded by his work at WFC because he knows that he is making a difference in his clients’ lives, so it is a win-win for everyone.

Samuel is grateful that Westchester Family Care makes sure that he and his coworkers all have what they need to remain safe so they can continue to do this important work.

“They never hesitate to update us on what we need to do to keep ourselves and our clients healthy. It is very good to have all the tools we need to remain safe.”

We appreciate you too, Samuel. Congratulations on being our Caregiver of the Month.
