“Catherine Goes to” …

Brightview Senior Living in Tarrytown

Catherine Lanza, our Director of Business Development continues to deliver activity and appreciation baskets to our Partner Facilities. Catherine prepares these baskets for residents in senior care facilities whose activities may still be limited.  Social distancing guidelines still continue to require that she deliver the baskets at a drop off which she did this past week at Brightview Senior Living in Tarrytown.

Here are Catherine’s comments:

What a great way to start off the beautiful month of July delivering large-type puzzle books and assorted snacks to residents at Brightview Senior Living in Tarrytown!  It is a warm and friendly place for Westchester County Seniors to call home.  It is Brightview Senior Living’s first community in New York, and it features dedicated Assisted Living apartments and the innovative Wellspring Village® neighborhood for Dementia Care.

I arranged an outdoor drop off with Tara Kaplan, who is the Vibrant Living Director.  She told me that her residents would be excited to receive these goodies.  Always included in the mix, are our very own light-up pens.  It might sound corny, but people love them because you can write in the dark!

We are still experiencing the restrictions that COVID brings, but the residents of Brightview just got a little busier!  Thank you – Tara!  I look forward to visiting Brightview again!

Summer Vacation

After nearly four months of working straight through the pandemic without a break, the WFC team is starting to take some vacation time.  Lisa and I kicked it off with a short trip to Rhode Island.  It was great to breathe ocean air again and be able to eat in a restaurant in a beautiful setting, albeit with 50% of the tables removed.

I’m happy to report that others are taking breaks from WFC for well-deserved vacation time.  Some are using the time as a staycation or at destinations close to home.  Others may be traveling to regional vacation spots. Like so many whose plans have been postponed due to COVID, Lisa and I are putting off multiple business and personal travel plans.

Boston Pops Salutes Our Heroes on July Fourth!
